Jumeirah Golf Estates
Designed by Greg Norman, the parkland-style Earth Course at Jumeirah
Golf Estates opened in late 2009 after two full seasons of grow-ins
before it staged its first Dubai World Championship in November of the
same year. No detail on this golf course was overlooked - garden-like
landscaping borders wide expanses of turf on rolling terrain, set off by
rushing water, giving it an appearance more familiar in North America
or Europe than Dubai. The golf course ends with a 620-yard par 5 that
plays over a large lake and features a troublesome stream all the way to
the green.
